Typically a 1-3 hour meeting discussing the Design Intent and project scope preferably on site.

At this stage we may have basic input on space planning, proper material and finish use, etc.

This is when we dive into the project based on sketches and/or architectural drawings (elevations, plans), and on our initial discussion on Design Intent.

At this point we typically visit the site (if possible) and confirm "as built" dimensions and building details including framing, plumbing, electrical, mechanical locations to avoid any installation problems and to identify any potential issues with design and installation.

Once we have a good understanding of the Design Intent and have agreed on the direction, we start getting into accurate layouts, basic material selections, production & installation details. We begin conceptualizing layouts, finishes, materials, basic dimensions, etc.

At this time we may produce quick 2D and/or 3D sketches clarifying some basic details and dimensions.

After the DESIGN has been signed off on, we make the necessary changes based on site conditions, and begin drafting production drawings including construction and installation details.

At this time we make recommendations on material, hardware, finishes, etc. based on Design Intent, durability requirements, special needs, etc.

We also advise on potential efficiencies that can be made to make sure the client gets the best possible value.

At the end of this phase complete drawing sets are provided including critical detail drawings (2D and/or 3D), hardware specifications, etc.

We will work with Subcontractors, Craftsmen, and installers to clarify all details, coordinate production and installation from start to finish to make sure that the entire process goes as smooth as possible.

We would be glad to recommend vendors from our large network of millwork and cabinet shops, granite and tile installers, machine shops, finishers and cabinet installers.
